Acworth Woman Killed in Fatal Weekend Wreck
The accident involved two vehicles and shut down I-75 south for approximately 30 minutes on Sunday evening.

A 25-year-old Acworth woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 75 south near Delk Road on Sunday evening, police said.
Richeany Meas, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, died at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta due to injuries she received in the accident. Marietta police said that 27-year-old Enrique Zavaleta of Acworth and a four-year-old boy were inside Meas’ vehicle at the time of the accident. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Zavaleta and the boy were taken to Kennestone Hospital and released.
According to police, Meas’ Honda Accord blew a tire at while traveling on the interstate at approximately 7:40 p.m. Sunday and was unable to get into a shoulder. The Accord stopped in the second lane, where it was rear-ended by a Jeep Wrangler. Both vehicles then careened into the left median wall. Following the accident, Meas got out of the car to check on the four-year-old, but passed out.

The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, Thomas Allan Jordan, 39, was taken to Kennestone Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Four left lanes of I-75 south were shut down for around a half hour while police investigated the accident scene.
