Allatoona Girls Lacrosse Team Gains First '13 Victory

After a close, 12-10 home loss to the Darlington Lady Tigers on Thursday night, the Lady Buccaneers Friday night went on to score the same number of goals with a different outcome and beat the Creekview Lady Grizzlies 10-2.

The Lady Bucs started quickly on the offensive side of the field. Three players for Allatoona scored in the game. Senior Kelsey McAnnally had five goals while Juniors Katie McNutt and Kimberlyn Hughes had three and two goals respectively. On the defensive end of the field starting goalkeeper, Lexi Downing, had 10 saves in the contest.

The Allatoona Lady Bucs will try to extend their winning streak next week when they visit the Pope Greyhounds on Wednesday night at 5:55 p.m. The Bucs return home to take on the Lady Longhorns from Kell High School at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
