Braves Stadium Partners Introduce Themselves to Cobb Contractors
The construction firm behind the construction of the team's new stadium in Cobb County is relying on support from local workers.

The four-firm team that is going to build the Atlanta Braves’ new stadium in Cobb County is looking for Cobb County contractors, vendors, and suppliers to help them finish their project by Opening Day, 2017.
According to The Marietta Daily Journal, representatives of American Builders 2017 appeared at an introductory outreach and networking session at Austell’s Riverside Epicenter on Monday evening.
The builders outlined their plans for stadium construction and described the timeline they have in mind for local companies to submit bids on various parts of the $672 million project. American Builders 2017 stressed the need for the project to create local jobs and contribute to the growth of the county’s economy. For example, small companies are being urged to apply to larger firms for a piece of the construction action, which will then in turn allow the firm to use local resources in their bid.

Companies with minority or woman ownership are also being encouraged to get in on the bidding process.
Although bids for excavation have already been awarded, bids for plumbing and electrical services have yet to be awarded and will probably open by Labor Day, the MDJ says.
