Burglary Plea Nets 20-year Sentence for Cobb Man

According to Cobb District Attorney Vic Reynolds, a Powder Springs man will serve 20 years in prison for burglary.

Andre Demond Troutman, 31, pleaded guilty Monday to a single count of burglary stemming from Aug. 20, 2013, when he entered a home on Clay Road in Austell.
Assistant District Attorney Marc Cella described Mr. Troutman as “a habitual offender.”
“In this case, a neighbor called 911 while watching the burglary unfold, and Cobb Police arrived in time to find the victim’s television set sitting outside the house next to the defendant’s vehicle,” Cella said.

Cobb Superior Court Chief Judge Adele P. Grubbs sentenced Mr. Troutman to 20 years to serve in custody.
