Marietta Square

A free, three-day outdoor arts festival on the historic Marietta Square featuring a juried market of 200 artists, live music, chalk art, a collaborative mural and family-friendly activities.Marietta Art in the Park celebrates its 40th year on the historic Marietta Square over Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free.
The festival features a juried Artist Market with 200 fine artists from across the country showcasing painting, photography, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and more, plus a special 40th anniversary Artist Showcase. Visitors can also watch graffiti artist Rich Dennard create a collaborative mural on Saturday, join Chalk Spot street art on a closed downtown street (Saturday only, $10 to participate, benefiting the Marietta High School Visual Arts Program), and help the Marietta Arts Council build a textile American flag in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary.
Kids can enjoy Children's Art Alley all three days, and everyone can relax with live music at the square's gazebo, browse local shops and galleries, and grab a bite at the many restaurants surrounding the square.
Marietta Art in the Park is the only fine art festival in Cobb County and has earned recognition from Sunshine Artist Magazine and the Southeast Tourism Society, drawing around 55,000 visitors each year.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is sponsoring a&nbsp;safe boating class on September 12, 2026.&nbsp; The one-day class, called Boat America, covers topics that include:
<ul><li>Know Your Boat</li><li>Before Getting Underway</li><li>Operating Your Vessel Safely</li><li>Legal Requirements</li><li>Boating Emergencies</li></ul>
&nbsp; Classes are located at the Acworth Police Department, 4440 Acworth Industrial Dr. NW, Acworth, GA 30101. The fee for program materials is $35.00. Family discounts are available. Determined 2B Present, Inc. invites the community to Become CPR Confident, a hands-on CPR, AED, First Aid, and emergency preparedness training event on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Acworth, Georgia.
Participants can learn practical life-saving skills for adults, children, and infants and have the opportunity to earn American Heart Association BLS certification, valid for two years.
This community event is designed for everyday people who want to be prepared, including parents, grandparents, teens, caregivers, coaches, church members, educators, healthcare professionals, and community members.
Determined 2B Present has a long-term mission to help prepare everyone who wants to become CPR confident and emergency prepared.
Be ready before 911 arrives. The life you save may be the one you love.

Determined 2B Present, Inc. invites the community to Become CPR Confident through hands-on CPR/BLS, First Aid, AED training and practical emergency preparedness scenarios.
Saturday, October 3, 2026

This training is for everyday people who want to be better prepared, including parents, grandparents, spouses, caregivers, teens, coaches, educators, church members, community members and healthcare professionals.
Participants will practice lifesaving skills for adults, children and infants and have the opportunity to earn an American Heart Association BLS course completion card, valid for two years.
You don't have to work in healthcare to learn how to respond in an emergency.
Come alone or bring someone you love and Become CPR Confident together.
Registration is open. Space is limited to 30 participants.
