Cobb Armed Robber Gets 25 Year Prison Sentence

Paul Odianose must serve at least 20 years in prison before he is eligible for release.

A Hiram man will spend the next two decades behind bars after pleading guilty to charges stemming from an armed robbery and attempted armed robbery in March, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

Paul Enofurialu Odianose, 21, robbed the London Cleaners on New Macland Road in Powder Springs while armed with a handgun at approximately 9 a.m. on March 4. This robbery netted Odianose $224.

On March 13, Odianose attempted to stick up Pizza Hut employees on the same street, but he was not successful. One of the employees wrote down Odianose’s tag number, and he was soon arrested.

Odianose was on first offender probation following a 2011 robbery case.

The defendant pleaded guilty on Wednesday morning to armed robbery, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer, and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

Cobb Superior Court Judge Adele Grubbs sentenced Odianose to a 40 year stint, with 25 years of that sentence to be served in prison and the rest to be served on probation. Odianose must serve at least 20 years in prison before he is eligible for parole.
