The project would add managed lanes along Interstate 75 from Akers Mill Road to Hickory Grove Road in Cobb County and along Interstate 575 between its interchange with I-75 to Sixes Road in Cherokee County.

The more than $1-billion project, the largest transportation project in the state’s history, is expected to relieve congestion in both counties.
