Sometimes the nightly battle with your child over homework derails the entire evening and affects the whole family. Is it worth it? No! Homework is important, but it is not *more* important than family relationships. So guard those relationships well. You can set a limit on how long each night your child will work on school assignments, if the conflict over it is starting to harm the family. Again, grades are important, but they are not more important than a loving, nurturing home.
