North Cobb American Legion Family of Post 304 Donates to the Acworth Police Department Chaplains Fund

North Cobb Post 304 and Auxiliary Unit 304 presented Acworth Chief of Police Wayne Dennard with checks for $500 and $250 for the Acworth PD Chaplains Fund.

Proceeds from the North Cobb Post 304 Legion Family Veterans Day Celebration BBQ were designated to make Christmas merrier for less fortunate children of Acworth.

Auxiliary President Pennie Groover stated “Christmas is a time for children to experience joy and love. The Legion Family of Post 304 makes it a priority to help children in need. Their Christmas morning will be brighter and hopeful.”

Chief Dennard thanked the North Cobb Post 304 Legion family for their donations, service and dedication to the Acworth community.

The Acworth Police Department Chaplains Fund assists local less fortunate children and families at Christmas and throughout the year.
