On a thunderous night in the Antilles archipelago, thunder booms, making a small girl cry in fear. Village storytellers comfort her with the tale of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who falls in love with a handsome gentleman, Daniel Beauxhomme – a story of life, love, grief and hope. Based on the 1985 novel by Rosa Guy, this winner of the 1995 Olivier Award (Britain’s Tony) for Best Musical features an invigorating tropical score by Stephen Flaherty and book by Lynn Ahrens. Rated PG.
