Heritage Presbyterian’s chapter of MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers - will hold its first meeting of the school year on Wednesday, August 19th at 10am in the main building of the church. Heritage MOPS will meeting the third Wednesday of the month at 10am throughout the school year. MOPS is an international grassroots Christian organization committed to supporting and equipping women during the first years of motherhood. This year’s theme is A Fierce Flourishing: An Invitation to Celebrate, Rest and Notice Goodness. Moms of children from newborns through Kindergarten are invited to attend. Free childcare is provided while the moms meet. Heritage Presbyterian is located at 5323 Bells Ferry Road in Acworth. Santa’s Caravan, a ministry of Heritage Presbyterian Church, will host its annual BBQ and silent auction on Sunday, August 23rd at the church’s Mission and Ministry building. The cost for BBQ is $10 per adult, $5 for children over four for those who pay before August 20th. After August 20th, the price goes up by $2 for adults. (The price remains the same for children.) The festivities begin at 10am and ends at 2pm. Money raised will go to help pay for Christmas gifts for children in the area. The silent auction will include items such as gift certificates to local eateries and car care packages. Heritage Presbyterian is located at 5323 Bells Ferry Road in Acworth.
