U.S. Marshals Arrest Man Wanted for Cobb Homicide
Orain Patterson was arrested by Marshals in Miami. He is wanted in connection to a Sept. 20 shooting in Mableton.
The prime suspect in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in Mableton has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Florida, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
According to the AJC, Orain Patterson, 27, will soon be in custody at the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility after he was picked up by Marshals in Miami. Patterson is the man police say shot and killed Tavin E. Campbell, 24, at the Walton Crossing Apartments on Mulkey Road on Sept. 20. Campbell has a previous aggravated assault conviction in Cobb County, the AJC reports.
Police still do not have a motive for the shooting death of Campbell, a Marietta resident.
