2 Alpharetta Stores Sold Alcohol To Minors: Police

A total of 10 stores were checked for compliance this week during an undercover operation.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said two convenience stores recently failed an undercover operation to determine if local businesses are following the law with regards to the sale of alcohol to customers age 21 or younger.

This latest random operation, which was carried out Wednesday, Aug. 16, is to ensure establishments that have a license to sell alcohol in the city are "complying with state law, county ordinances as well as our own city ordinances," the agency said on its Facebook page (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts.
