2 Hospitalized After Truck Leaves Road, Strikes Tree

Milton police say the passenger of the truck was ejected in the Monday morning accident on Arnold Mill Road at Sweet Apple Road.

MILTON, GA — Two people are hospitalized with serious injuries following a single vehicle accident reported Monday morning in Milton. Police, fire and EMS and ambulance services were all dispatched to the collision on Ga. 140/Arnold Mill Road at Sweet Apple Road.

A preliminary investigation indicates a state body Dodge 5500 was traveling southbound on S.R. 140 when it left the roadway, hit a tree on its passenger side, bounced off and "came to a rest against a second tree on the driver's side," said Milton police Capt. Charles Barstow.

The passenger was ejected from the vehicle, Capt. Barstow added. Both individuals were transported to WellStar North Fulton Hospital for treatment.

Arnold Mill Road was shut down for several hours while police worked the scene of the collision, but the roadway is now open to motorists. The accident remains under investigation.
