26 Fulton Schools Win Statewide Accountability Awards

The schools were recognized by Gov. Nathan Deal in two categories, Greatest Gains and Highest Performance.

ATLANTA, GA -- On Friday, Gov. Nathan Deal released the state's top schools in the annual Single Statewide Accountability recognition program. Twenty six schools in Fulton County School System were named in two categories, Greatest Gains and Highest Performance.

“I am pleased that many of our schools have been recognized for such high performance and increasing student achievement levels,” said Superintendent Jeff Rose, Ed.D. “This news comes on the heels of our outstanding 2017 CCRPI scores, and it is continued validation that our students and teachers are achieving at a high level and making excellent progress; their hard work is paying off.”

Developed by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and approved by the State Board of Education, the awards highlight schools that are making great strides in educating students. The 2017 list includes 226 schools across Georgia.

Awards are given in two categories, Greatest Gains and Highest Performance. Highest Performing schools must earn a three-year average College and Career Ready Performance Index Achievement Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Greatest Gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Each award category has a Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze tier.
