The Third Grade classrooms at McGinnis Woods are learning about the life cycles of animals. McGinnis Woods is located in Forsyth County and teaches infants through 8th grade. The school emphasizes STEM activities and this is their living STEM unit. The classes incubated several fertilized chicken eggs resulting in the successful hatching of two adorable baby chicks! The students have enjoyed caring for the chicks and watching them change and grow before their eyes. One unique fact they have learned is that it only takes twenty one days to incubate and hatch the eggs. This hands on learning is what makes every day special at McGinnis Woods.
