5 Injured In 2-Vehicle Crash In Milton

The accident happened Saturday evening on Arnold Mill Road near the Fulton-Cherokee county line. The injuries were non-life threatening.

MILTON, GA -- Five people, including two children, were injured Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash on S.R. 140 in Milton. Officers, Milton Fire-Rescue firefighters and EMS officials were all dispatched around 6:35 p.m. Dec. 9 to the collision on Arnold Mill Road just north of Old Arnold Mill Road, which is near the Fulton-Cherokee county line.

Officers arrived and found a Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling southbound on Arnold Mill Road into Fulton County when it lost control, went into a sideways skid and was hit by a Cadillac Escalade that was going northbound, Milton police said.

The four occupants of the Chevrolet, including the two juveniles, were transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries. The Milton Police Crash Team responded to investigate, and preliminary results indicate that the Avalanche was traveling too fast for conditions right before the collision, the agency added.
