5 Seasons Brewery To Close Alpharetta Restaurant

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The owners and operators behind 5 Seasons Brewery have made the tough decision to close one of its metro Atlanta restaurants.

The company said Wednesday on its website and Facebook page that it's sold the building that's home to 5 Seasons North at 3655 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta.

A party will be held from noon to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 15 with half-priced beers "to thank our wonderful customers and staff," 5 Seasons added.

"It has been such a pleasure serving everyone and getting to do what we love to do," the company said. "We love creating great food and great beer. We will certainly miss all of the guests we have been so blessed to serve this last decade."

On its Facebook page, 5 Seasons said it has been a pleasure working with staff members and remains grateful to the guests who've grabbed a bite to eat or enjoyed one of their beer with friends or loved ones. The owners purchased "this really cool log cabin" in 2006 with the intent to bring a great restaurant and brewery to Alpharetta and North Fulton County.

Since opening, 5 Seasons has been approached several times with opportunities to sell its Old Milton Parkway location. It never took those proposals seriously, as Alpharetta is a bustling area with much going on. However, the last two years brought in more offers, and a friend from the Atlanta restaurant community "approached us with an offer we simply couldn’t refuse."

"Although it was a difficult decision to accept the offer, it was the best thing to do for our families and for us," 5 Seasons said. "As sad as it is to say goodbye, we are very excited."

The June 15 celebration will be the last day 5 Seasons North operates in Alpharetta. Other locations are at 1000 Marietta Street NW in Atlanta and 5600 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
