5th Annual Crabapple Fest Returns Saturday

The popular event, set for Oct. 7, will feature antique and arts vendors, music, children's activities, food and a screen to watch football.

MILTON, GA -- The city of Milton and the Crabapple Community Association are gearing up for its event celebrating the start of the fall season. The 5th annual Crabapple Fest, the popular outdoor arts festival, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 in the heart of Milton.

The festival will include more than 100 juried artists, local antique and art vendors, children's activities, music from local acts, food vendors, a jumbo screen for college football viewing and other activities.

This year's activities will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be hosted along Crabapple Road (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app).

As always, the city will roll out road closures between the Crabapple Crossroads -- Birmingham Highway at Broadwell Road -- and Itaska Walk to accommodate the festival. Parking will be available at Crabapple Baptist Church (12760 Birmingham Highway), Crabapple Crossing Elementary School (12775 Birmingham Highway) and Milton High School (13025 Birmingham Highway). Attendees should also note parking is prohibited along streets in surrounding neighborhoods.

Parking for those with disabilities will be available at the Crabapple Government Center at 12624 Broadwell Road. Free shuttle service will be available during the festival hours, running from Milton High School to Crabapple Baptist Church to the drop-off location at the Crabapple Government Center.

The Crabapple Community Association, a community group made up of residents, businesses and area schools, is dedicated to improving, protecting and enhancing the overall quality of life in the Crabapple District through community events, beautification, and charitable works.
