ADCAP opens bigger headquarters in Alpharetta

ADCAP Network Systems opened its new headquarters on Old Alabama Road Connector on Thursday.

The fact that ADCAP Networking Systems bought a 20,000-square-foot space in Alpharetta for its new headquarters shouldn’t be a surprise. It simply underscores Mayor David Belle Isle’s description of Alpharetta as “The Technology City of The South.”

ADCAP, a 52-employee private outfit that provides technology solutions for small-and medium-sized businesses, chose the city precisely because “it’s a technology hub,” explained Rolf Versluis, founder and chief technology officer.

ADCAP was already in the Alpharetta area with much smaller headquarters on Shiloh Road, off McFarland Parkway. The company is keeping that location.

“Alpharetta is where all the data centers are,” Versluis said. “So this is kind of a technology magnet. There are a lot of technology guys in town.”

There was a ribbon cutting on Thursday, complete with Belle Isle in attendance, to officially open the new headquarters at 10400 Old Alabama Road Connector. The company bought the entire 40,000-square-foot building, and hopes to lease out the unused 20,000 square feet.

Versluis gave tours of the impressively renovated offices to Belle Isle and other friends and guests. The offices facilitate all functions of a company that primarily resells, installs and maintains Cisco Systems brand equipment.

Versluis said that is another great reason for the location, since Cisco has a huge sales office near Exit 6 off GA 400.

Versluis also said he chose the current location because of the number of tech-savvy people in the area, the fine living conditions and because many business leaders from greater Atlanta live in Alpharetta and Milton.

ADCAP was founded 10 years ago by Versluis, his wife Christine and Matt Waring. Christine is now the chief executive officer and Waring is the president.

ADCAP serves businesses and government entities that have between 100 and a few thousand users. The company covers the Southeast, and as such, also has a five-employee office in Miami.

“We get to take the best newest technologies, the one’s businesses are really interested in …  and make it work. We see real results from the technology we put in place,” Rolf Versluis said.
