Alpharetta native Ali Coleman, a newly certified Jazzercise instructor, has begun offering classes at Alpharetta North Point Jazzercise (10525 Old Alabama Connector). Becoming a Jazzercise instructor requires dedication and thorough training. Coleman recently participated in a rigorous workshop in Alpharetta. She was required to learn 15 Jazzercise routines for her audition; pass a written exam on basic anatomy, exercise physiology and nutrition; learn Jazzercise business practices; and become certified to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Coleman grew up in Alpharetta and graduated from Georgia College and State University in 2012 with a degree in biology. She is currently a dental assistant at Veal Dental Care in Dunwoody and plans to attend dental school in the fall.
"When I moved back to Alpharetta after school, I started attending Jazzercise classes at the North Point studio. It was the first time I actually looked forward to a workout!," said Coleman. "The Jazzercise community is very supportive and encouraging, and I'm excited to give back some of that inspiration to my classes."
