A utility pole was hit the morning of Aug. 12 by a “suspected drunk driver,” the city previously told Patch. The crash sent utility lines across the road, forcing crews to close Milton Avenue just west of Roswell/Canton Street near the former Milton High School campus.
Those crews spent the better part of Wednesday cleaning up the wreckage, which forced vehicular traffic to detour and utilize Old Milton Parkway and Mayfield Road to avoid the closure.
