The project calls for renovating the former Alpharetta branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System at 238 Canton Street to be used for classes, programs, exhibits and performances.
According to the master plan adopted by the city, the facility would have three flex studios (each about 600 square feet) that could be used for painting classes; a heavy arts studio designed for uses such as ceramics; media studio with technology upgrades; small black box theater with a flexible wall system that could open to the gallery; and flex space that could be used for exhibits, performances, artist lectures and auctions, to name a few possibilities.
