ALPHARETTA, GA — Summer is here, which means it’s time to get out and explore the great things happening at your local parks and recreation centers.

This July, join the fun offered by Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Services as they celebrate Park and Recreation Month. A variety of fun activities and events are planned for residents of all ages and abilities — including free family yoga classes, teen dodgeball night, and geocaching.

Alpharetta is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), by inviting you to get in the game. In support of this month long celebration, Alpharetta has created a July calendar that offers daily Game On suggestions such as passive activities including a self-guided arts tour or park water play; as well as organized activities like family kickball night, free yoga classes, a running clinic, and a free CPR class.

“Alpharetta is a special place to live and our parks and recreation facilities are a very important contributing factor to ensuring the high quality of life we value,” said Morgan Rodgers, Alpharetta Recreation, Parks & Cultural Services Director. “We want to remind the Alpharetta community what wonderful resources we have right here in our backyard and encourage everyone to get outside, find some fun and play together.”
