Alpharetta City Band Welcomes New Conductor
Dr. Nicole Fallin's debut performance will honor the late Bill Haynes, the former band conductor who died in December.

The Alpharetta City Band has selected Dr. Nicole Fallin as its new conductor. The selection of Dr. Fallin follows the tragic death in December of Bill Haynes, under whose baton the band had performed for the past 17 years.
Dr. Fallin was one of several very qualified conductors who auditioned for the role by leading a full rehearsal with the band. She will make her debut during the band’s annual Friends and Family Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at St. David's Episcopal Church, 1015 Old Roswell Road, Roswell, Ga., 30075. This year the concert will be dedicated to the memory of Bill Haynes. The public is invited to attend the free performance.
“We are so pleased to have Dr. Fallin’s experience, energy and commitment as the new conductor of the Alpharetta City Band,” said Don Nahser, the group’s founder and program supervisor. “Her unique style and deep knowledge is already being felt and heard in the band, and the musicians are excited about this next phase.”
