Alpharetta Couple Wins $350,000 Wedding Giveaway

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The Avalon Says I Do contest launched in August to find the perfect couple to receive an extravagant $350,000 dream wedding at The Hotel at Avalon and after months of searching and narrowing down the contestants, organizers behind the initiative have unveiled the winners.

Alpharetta residents Nicole Garsh and Spencer Franks will get married at Avalon and the brand-new boutique hotel in spring 2018. Garsh and Franks were announced as the winners last week during the Avalon Says I Do Sip & Stroll wedding planning event.

The Avalon Says I Do contest will include every detail to craft their perfect day. From esteemed planner Suzanne Reinhard Events to décor and design services from Bold Catering + Design to catering, cake, bachelor and bachelorette parties, attire for all including the bridal gown and so much more from Avalon’s retailers, The Hotel at Avalon and local Atlanta wedding vendors, nothing has been overlooked.

Garsh is a nurse in the breast cancer ward at Northside Hospital and she met Franks at an oncology office, so it’s particularly fitting that they were awarded this experience during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Avalon asked adorable couples vying for their dream wedding to submit a short video telling their story and why they deserve an all-expenses-paid, destination experience. The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Franks won the hearts of Avalon’s social media followers in an open voting, and thanks to support from their family, friends and local community were selected as the winners.

“We actually found out about the Avalon Says I Do contest while we were touring The Hotel at Avalon as a potential wedding venue,” said Garsh. “We wanted a southern-meets-cosmopolitan vibe and a destination experience for our international families, and when we heard that Avalon was giving away our dream wedding we jumped on the opportunity.
