The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau took home an award for the Best Ideas in Website/Interactive at the Georgia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus in February 2015.

GACVB is a resource for destination marketing organizations in Georgia to maximize the economic impact of tourism via industry education, professional development, legislative awareness, issues management, and effective communication.

“We were excited to win this award,” said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Our staff worked hard to develop the website to make sure it remained an innovative tool to promote our destination.”

On Jan. 19, the Alpharetta CVB launched an updated version of its website, www.awesomealpharetta.com.

The site “paints a picture of Alpharetta while bringing its vibrancy to life through easily navigated details,” the CVB said. The redesign also remains consistent with the city’s innovative and tech savvy reputation which helps distinguish Alpharetta from other Georgia destinations.

Potential visitors can choose to receive communication from the Alpharetta CVB through a variety of ways, including the electronic newsletter, downloadable brochures, booking hotel rooms through the booking engine or sharing information from the website on social media websites or through email.
