Alpharetta Farmers Market Opens April 14

From the Alpharetta Business Association: The Alpharetta Business Association (ABA) is pleased to announce the opening of the Alpharetta Farmers Market for the 2018 season on Saturday, April 14 at 8:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting by Mayor pro tem Donald Mitchell. This year’s market will feature a wide selection of new vendors as well as long-time customer favorites.

This year, the Farmers Market website has been completely revamped, with new features for both vendors and customers. The new site allows customers to see all of the vendors, search by vendor and product, see what’s in season, and find out when a particular vendor will be at the market. It also allows new and existing vendors to apply for the Alpharetta Farmers Market and pay online.

“As an award-winning Market, we wanted to make sure we had a streamlined system for our customers and the vendors, so we can focus on continuing our tradition of providing amazing produce and local products every week,” said Carol Anderson-Wood, Alpharetta Farmers Market Manager.

One of the returning vendors is Southern Baked Pie Company which joined the Market in 2017 after opening their brick and mortar location the year before. “Joining the Alpharetta Farmers Market was one of the best things we did last year,” explained Alpharetta Store Manager Schrei Michael. “We received such great exposure at the Market! Customers that may not have made it to our store are now customers for life! Even after the Market closed for the season, we experienced strong sales through the winter months.”

Michael continued: “We’ve been so impressed with the Alpharetta Farmers Market. Having sold at other markets, we feel it’s the best around. Their consistency and quality of vendors makes this Market one-of-a-kind!”

The Alpharetta Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 8:30 – 1:00 on Old Canton Street in downtown Alpharetta from April 14 to October 27. For more information, visit the website.
