Alpharetta Hosts Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
The deadline to register to take advantage of this initiative is Thursday, Nov. 2.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Alpharetta residents will have an opportunity this weekend to recycle or properly dispose of household hazardous waste or paint with a one-day collection drive.
The city will host its Household Hazardous Waste and Paint Collection from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Alpharetta Public Works Department at 1790 Hembree Road. Common items to be accepted include paint and paint related substances, gasoline that isn’t usable, home and garden chemicals, poisons, and many other substances.
Residents should note participation in the collection requires pre-registration, which can be done here.

There is no charge for disposal of acceptable items, a complete listing of which can be viewed on the registration form. You should also note that this service is not for Alpharetta businesses.
Once registered, items will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 with no exceptions. Residents will be instructed to remain in their vehicle at the collection site while technicians unload their vehicles.

If you want to take advantage of this collection drive, you must submit the completed online pre-registration form by Thursday, Nov. 2. You will get a return email confirming your registration. Bring the confirmation form with your items to the Nov. 4 event. Safely transport items to the collection site by keeping them in original containers and separated.
