ALPHARETTA, GA -- The Alpharetta Lions Club recently recognized two employees with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

The organization honored Michael Ebright, who was named the Firefighter of the Year, and Shawna Pope, who was named the city's Communications Officer of the Year. The ceremony was hosted at the Atlanta National Golf Club in Milton.
The club each year honors firefighters and officers who are awarded with the prestigious recognition "as an additional thank you from our community."
