Lt. Snider is known for being a voice of patriotism in America and served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer followed by a 33 year career with United Parcel Service.

For many years, he has dedicated his life to creating the National Museum of Patriotism in Atlanta, which opened on Independence Day 2004.

To accommodate its program, the city of Alpharetta will close the southbound lane of Haynes Bridge Road from Academy Street to Tiffany Square from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The subject area is immediately behind Alpharetta City Hall, and northbound traffic will not be impacted by this closure.

Milton’s eighth-annual event will kick off at 10 a.m. May 25 at Freedom Park. A fundraiser breakfast will be served by Boy Scouts starting at 9 a.m.

This year’s ceremony features local veterans, the Milton Fire Department Color Guard, Taps as performed by Bugles Across America, Capt. Donna Rowe as the ceremony’s featured speaker and much more.

The ceremony will conclude with a roll call of local veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Their friends and families are then invited to reflect upon the markers created to remember their legacy and placed along Deerfield Parkway and in Crabapple by Councilman Bill Lusk and the newly formed non-profit Milton Memorial Markers for Veterans.

Alpharetta City Hall is at 2 Park Plaza while Milton’s Freedom Park is located at 13200 Deerfield Parkway.
