Alpharetta, Milton Named Top Places To Live In GA 2022: Niche

ALPHARETTA-MILTON, GA — Some of the best neighborhoods in Georgia are Alpharetta and Milton, according to Niche's new list of best places to live in 2022.

The new Niche listings for best places to live in 2022, with rankings both national and local, were released on Monday. Niche creates its annual Best Places to Live rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to resident reviews, according to a news release. It also considers factors like affordability, the housing market, diversity, public schools and walkability.

Alpharetta was ranked No. 2 on the list of best places to live in Georgia. Its overall Niche grade is an A+. Milton came in at No. 9, also with an overall Niche score of A+.

Both cities also received top marks for public schools and good for families. In Alpharetta, diversity received an A, with housing and nightlife earning an A-. Crime and safety got a score of C+ for Alpharetta. Milton earned an A- for diversity, B+ for housing and nightlife, and a B for crime and safety.

Alpharetta also ranked nationally, including No. 51 best suburb to live in America, out of 6,785 cities. It ranked No. 1 for best Georgian suburb to live in.

Milton ranked as the No. 168 best suburb to live in America, and No. 6 best suburb to live in Georgia.
