Alpharetta, Milton Students Earn Honors at College

Alpharetta Students Named to Oglethorpe's Dean's List

The following college students from Alpharetta were named to Oglethorpe University's Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester.

• Kristin Butler, a theatre major.
• Samantha Flynn, a politics major.
• Diego Herrera, a biology major.
• Grace Horton, an English major.
• Jessica Miller, a psychology major.
• Catherine Ros, an English major.
• Monica Watanabe, a communication and rhetoric studies and psychology major.

This semester, approximately 240 students earned the Dean's List distinction, which requires a minimum 3.5 grade point average while maintaining a full-time class schedule.

Derene Named to Delaware's Dean's List

Jason Derene of Milton has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Spring 2012.

To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Alpharetta, Milton Students on Oxford College Honor List

The following students were named to the Honor List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2012 spring semester. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher to be named to the Honor List.

The following students were named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2012 spring semester.

Students must earn a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.

Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN, named the following Alpharetta students to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester:

To earn academic honors at Saint Mary's, a student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have at least 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes, and no grades lower than a C.
