Alpharetta Offering Household Hazardous Waste, Paint Collection

Alpharetta residents can get their household hazardous waste and paint either recycled or properly disposed of during an upcoming event.

ALPHARETTA, GA — City of Alpharetta residents have an opportunity to have their household hazardous waste and paint either recycled or properly disposed of through a recycling collection event on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Common items to be accepted include paint and paint related substances, gasoline that isn’t usable, home and garden chemicals, poisons, and many other substances.

This collection requires pre-registration and the form can be found online.

There is no charge for disposal of acceptable items. Refer to the registration form for a more complete listing. The city is unable to offer this collection to Alpharetta businesses.

Once registered, items will be accepted on Nov. 13 between 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no exceptions. Residents will be instructed to wear a face covering and remain in their vehicle at the collection site while technicians unload their vehicles.

What do you have to do?

  • Submit a completed pre-registration form by Thursday, Nov. 11. You will get a return confirmation.
  • Bring your confirmation form with your items on Nov. 13.
  • Safely transport items to the collection site keeping them in original containers and separated.
