Alpharetta Officers, Firefighters To Compete in Chili Cook-off

The event on Saturday, Nov. 1 will raise funds for the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation.

The city of Alpharetta next month will host a battle to see which of its public safety staff members can whip up the best chili recipe.

The Alpharetta Chili Cook-off and Live Broadcast of the Georgia vs. Florida football game will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 37 Old Roswell Street — in the large parking lot behind Smokejack BBQ.

Police officers, firefighters and other public safety staff will don their chef’s aprons to create dozens of competing pots of homemade chili. Awards will be given during half-time, with special recognition for the best chili recipe.
