Alpharetta Police Warn Vehicles Vandalized In Parking Lots
After seven car windows were smashed Tuesday in the parking lots of Alpharetta restaurants, police are issuing a warning.
ALPHARETTA, GA — The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is warning the public about being cautious when leaving valuables in the car.
The department posted on Facebook that there were seven car windows smashed yesterday in the parking lots of restaurants on Mansell Road and N. Main Street. All but one of the vehicles had computer equipment stolen, officials said.
"Our officers diligently patrol these areas but the criminals usually work in pairs with a lookout," the post said. "It only takes mere seconds to shatter the glass, grab your backpack, briefcase, etc. and take off."

Officials warn to secure property and valuables, even if you’re only going to be a few minutes inside of a business or home, and to remind family and friends, too.
"As always, if you see something that doesn’t look right or a person acting suspicious, give us a call," the post said. "You’re not bothering us and you can remain anonymous."
