Alpharetta Rain Barrel Workshop Set For Aug. 15

North Fulton County residents interested in maintaining healthy lawns and gardens while lowering their monthly water bills are invited to attend a Rain Barrel Workshop hosted by the city of Alpharetta.

The one-hour class will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Alpharetta Department of Public Works, located at 1790 Hembree Road.

Attendees will receive a 55-gallon rain barrel and a diverter kit. The cost to participate is $35 per barrel. Space is limited, so participants must pre-register. Seating will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

The deadline for pre-registration and payment is Wednesday, Aug. 12. To register, call the Alpharetta Department of Public Works at 678-297-6200.
