Alpharetta Recreation Department Plans Holiday Events
The city's events include pet photos with Santa, a holiday concert and holiday party for children.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Alpharetta residents are invited to celebrate the holidays with family, friends, and furry pals this season with several low-cost or free events hosted by the city's Recreation and Parks Department.
First, if you haven't heard, you can now drop off your letters and wish lists to Santa Claus at Wills Park Recreation Center.
Youngsters can drop off their letters starting Monday, Nov. 28, and Santa Claus will respond to all correspondence received by Dec. 16.

The mailbox will be located just inside the center at 11925 Wills Road, and is presented this holiday season by Alpharetta Recreation and Parks.
This weekend, you can enjoy the sounds of the season with the Alpharetta City Band Holiday Concert, which will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Alpharetta Adult Activity Center.

Folks of all ages can delight in this beautiful musical rendition of holiday classics! Light refreshments served after the concert. For information, contact 678-297-6140 or activeadults@alpharetta.ga.us.
An annual favorite of pet lovers, Pet Photos with Santa Claws will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Waggy World Paw Park.
Dress up four-legged friends in holiday attire or simply bring them to the park for a special photo taken with Santa! Families are welcome in the photo, taken by staff photographers. Digital images will be emailed for use in holiday cards or treasured mementos. Donations or items for a local pet charity are encouraged.
All pets must be current on vaccines and on a leash. To enter the photography area, proof of current vaccinations must be provided, no exceptions. For information or inclement weather plans on event day, contact 678-297-6130 or jlsimpson@alpharetta.ga.us.
Last, but not least, will be the Grinch-mas Party for children age 5-10. This new holiday event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is packed with silly fun and sure to be a Who-ot! Little ones can enjoy crafts, games, and holiday treats!
