Alpharetta Restaurant Fails Food Service Inspection

Rice on Old Milton Parkway was cited for "improper" separation of raw animal food with ready-to-eat food, among other things.

A north Fulton County restaurant failed its most recent food service inspection.

Rice, which is at 3630 Old Milton Parkway Suite 120, scored 69, or U, on its inspection held March 19. The inspector with the Fulton County Department of Public Health noted the following on the report:

  • Observed improper horizontal separation of raw animal foods and ready-to-eat foods.
  • Observed uncovered food in holding unit/dry storage area.
  • Prepared food not marked with date of preparation or date for disposal.
  • Observed food container not properly labeled.
  • Observed potentially hazardous food thawed at room temperature.
  • Observed food stored in a prohibited area.
  • Food service license not properly displayed.
  • observed food not stored in food grade containers
  • Hot water not provided/shut off at employee handwash sink.
  • Observed back door not screend properly

A follow-up inspection has been scheduled for March 30, according to the report.
