Alpharetta Robbery Suspect Indicted By Forsyth Grand Jury
Kinneth Battle was indicted on 11 counts in relation to the robbery of the BP convenience store on Windward Parkway.

A Forsyth County grand jury has indicted one of two suspects in relation to the robbery of an Alpharetta convenience store in March.
Kinneth Battle has been indicted on 11 counts, including two counts of criminal trespassing, four counts of obstruction of an officer, two counts of theft by receiving, possession of an illegal weapon and possession of drugs and drug-related objects, according to Forsyth County News.
Battle was arrested on April 30 by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office’s Warrant Unit at an apartment complex off Old Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. He was wanted on armed robbery charges by the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety and for felony obstruction, burglary, weapons violations and other felony charges by Forsyth County.

At around 2:10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, Alpharetta 911 received a call from a store clerk at BP at 5005 Windward Parkway, and told dispatchers a robbery had taken place at the store.
Two men allegedly entered the store, and one suspect jumped the counter and snatched the cash register drawer.

Both men fled the scene in a Jeep parked on the side of the building, which authorities believed was occupied by Battle. The store clerk was able to provide the license plate number for the Jeep, and the direction it traveled when it left the premises. Alpharetta issued an alert to surrounding law enforcement agencies. It was later determined the suspects drove to a home in Forsyth County, and pulled into the residence’s garage.
As Forsyth deputies pulled up to the home, one of the suspects, armed with a weapon, allegedly fled the house out the back door. Battle fled into a wooded area, and another suspect, Fredrequis Cobbs, was found hiding in the back floorboard area of the Jeep and was arrested. The North Fulton and Forsyth County SWAT Teams mobilized to hunt for Battle, but were unsuccessful in their efforts.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office’s Warrant and PACE units were able to eventually track down Battle with the help of the Roswell Police Department following a foot chase.
