Alpharetta Says Goodbye to a 'Statesman,' Mayor Arthur Letchas

After 29 years serving the citizens of Alpharetta, Arthur Letchas will step down as Mayor on Dec. 31. On Monday, Dec. 19, city residents and city hall staff gathered for a reception in his honor.

Letchas spent about the same amount of time in public education, working in the Fulton County School System.

A mini-bio posted on Johns Creek High School Gladiators football site shows some of his accomplishments over that time.
