Alpharetta Sharks Raise Money For Cystic Fibrosis

The city's youth swim team raised $3,008 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during the summer league swim season

The city of Alpharetta Sharks youth swim team raised a total of $3,008 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during the summer league swim season. 

The money was raised in various events, including a a Swim Atlanta-sponsored stroke technique clinic, Shark Olympathon, coin competition, neighborhood lemonade stands, a dunk tank at the end-of-season party and generous donations by parents and friends.

The Sharks swim team has a long history of including philanthropic support and fundraising as part of their team activities, thanks to the faithful leadership of Coach Miriam Scholz.  For many years now, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been their focus.   

The Alpharetta Sharks are a program of the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department.
