Alpharetta Wants Input on Future Use of Former Library

Now that it owns the land and building that used to be home to the Alpharetta Public Library, the city is exploring its options on how the facility can be used.

Before it makes any decision, Alpharetta wants to hear what you have to say on this topic. The city next week will host an open house at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21 at Alpharetta City Hall to start a conversation on the future use of the property.

The Fulton County Commission earlier this month voted to deed the roughly 3 acres of property at the corner of Mayfield Road and Canton Street. The facility was closed earlier this year, as a new library opened adjacent to City Hall in late July.

The purpose of Monday’s meeting is to provide Alpharetta citizens with an opportunity to share their ideas for how the property should be used.

City Hall is located at 2 Park Plaza.
