Alpharetta Wants Residents To Sign Up For Big Creek Greenway Patrols

The Department of Public Safety will host a public interest meeting for its Volunteer Greenway Patrol initiative on Friday.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is asking residents who want to keep the city’s portion of the Big Creek Greenway safe to come volunteer with its initiative.

The agency on Friday will host its first meeting for the initiative at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 at the Alpharetta Recreation Center.

The center is at 11925 Wills Road.

Residents in attendance will learn how to help the Department of Public Safety keep the pathway safe for everyone. Also, volunteers will be equipped with safety materials and a T-shirt as part of their patrols.

Citizens must be 18 years or older to participate.
