Known as the Beer Jobs Bill, the legislation has garnered the support of State Senators John Albers of Roswell and Brandon Beach of Alpharetta.
Council members will also consider a resolution opposing House Bill 170, which would remove or exempt motor fuel sales from local sales taxes, and divert that money to the state to fund transportation infrastructure projects. Alpharetta estimates it would lose at least $840,000 annually if the bill passes and goes into law.

Council members will also consider the second reading of North Point Activity Center Design Guidelines, a change order proposal to resolve unforeseen damage issues between the garden and library at the City Center property and awarding a bid to Sunbelt Structures, Inc. to perform fiscal year 2015 bridge maintenance for $156,960.
Before the meeting, the city will host an open house so residents can review plans put forth by a potential developer regarding outparcels for the City Center project. The open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Alpharetta City Hall, which is at 2 Park Plaza.
