Alpharetta Wins Saris, Georgia Bikes Contest

The city will get a free bike rack to be placed at a location in its downtown business district.

The city of Alpharetta is one of four winners in a contest that will provide a free bike rack to be placed in its jurisdiction.

Alpharetta has been awarded a parking rack that will be installed in its downtown business district, the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said on its Facebook page.

The contest was organized by Georgia Bikes and Saris, a company that provides bicycle storage racks for vehicles and homes and bike accessories

Other winners include Cave Spring Welcome Center, Dahlonega downtown business district and Savannah’s The Collins Quarter.

The bike docks will be shipped to Alpharetta in the coming weeks so residents will “have safe, secure bike parking,” Georgia bikes said on its website.
