Alpharetta Woman Makes Bid For City Council

Part of her plan is to bolster the well-educated, cultured population of Alpharetta.

From the City of Alpharetta: Katie Daniel Harding announces her plans to run for an Alpharetta City Council seat. Harding, 34, has been a resident since 2010 and loves the place she now considers her hometown with husband, Jeff, and two dogs, Campbell and Izzy. She enjoys interacting in the community, seeing and experiencing the growth of the city in recent years.

“Alpharetta has much to offer,” Harding says. “I am excited about what we have and what’s to come, especially with such efforts taking shape such as the Transit Master Plan, Alpha Loop, and the North Point Livable Centers Initiative. Our past and current officials have done an admirable job of creating a vibrant and thriving city that is the envy, not only of neighboring towns, but also of any place inside the Perimeter.” While transit is already on the table, and the momentum of our current economic development is exciting, she hopes to bring something distinct to the council lineup of the past few years. “The city boasts a well-educated, cultured population, and, if elected, I hope to represent them by injecting a fresh and bold perspective from the current workforce.”

“Alpharetta has a great story, and I am looking forward to continuing my part in it through service on the council – if the people will have me.”
