'American Girl' Campaign Launches In Alpharetta

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau invites potential visitors to be an American Girl in Alpharetta with its spring campaign.

Alpharetta is home to the only American Girl Store in Georgia and is one of the city’s top attractions. Alpharetta has three hotels that have American Girl packages, each offering something a little extra special for girls and their families during their hotel stay. Special experiences offered included a special check in, pink rooms, cookies and pink lemonade, doll beds and robes for dolls.

Alpharetta’s calendar is filled with exciting events to bring in visitors such as the weekly Food Truck Alley which happens every Thursday from April 14 - Oct. 27 and the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Event of the Southeast, The Taste of Alpharetta on May 12.

A weekend in Alpharetta can be spent just around the American Girl Boutique and Bistro, which is more than just a store. It is a complete boutique package packed with American Girl favorites, a bookstore, and specialty restaurant and doll hair salon.

"The American Girl Boutique and Bistro is truly a place for girls’ imaginations to soar,” said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “It is one of the city’s major tourism assets and we see visitors coming in from around the Southeast to experience the store.”

Guests of the store can dine in the bistro which serves two-foot long banana splits and pink lemonade. They can give their dolls a new “do” at the salon after shopping in the exclusive boutique featuring outfits, accessories, furniture and books.

To celebrate the American Girl Boutique and Bistro, the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau is giving away the ultimate American Girl weekend package valued at over $1,000! One winner will receive:

• Two night weekend stay in a two bedroom suite for a family of four at the Residence Inn Alpharetta North Point Mall for the nights of Friday, Aug. 26 and Saturday, Aug. 27, with all the American Girl amenities: special check-in, one doll bed, pink linens, one American Girl book, breakfast for four each morning, cookies and milk and American Girl movie night with popcorn and pink lemonade for family of four ($540 value).
