ALPHARETTA, GA — After being a popular attraction for more than a decade, the American Girl Store at North Point Mall has officially shuttered.

"This store location is permanently closed," the American Girl websites states. "It has been our privilege to serve this community for more than a decade. We thank you for your loyalty to American Girl and look forward to continuing our valued relationship with you. You can always find us open at americangirl.com, or we hope you’ll visit us at one of our other U.S. retail locations."

The store, which was near JCPenney, offered families a chance to eat at the Bistro, host parties, special events, a doll hair salon, ear-piercing and a large retail store. It was the only American Girl Store location in Georgia.
