Arts Center Public Input Meeting Set For Tuesday

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The city of Alpharetta next week will kick off the process to gather public feedback on its plans to redesign an old Fulton County library into a new arts center.

The general open meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the former Fulton County library at 233 Canton Street in Alpharetta.

Alpharetta leaders are asking its citizens to take part in the process through the meetings, which are designed to capture the public's vision for the future design and use of the space.

In addition to the general meeting, the city will host a series of meetings with special interest groups on Tuesday as well as Wednesday, April 13 to gather input on ways a new arts center could assist in meeting their specific needs.

The meeting schedule is listed below, and all meetings will be held at the new arts center:

Tuesday, April 12

  • noon – 1 p.m. – Arts Guilds
  • 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Local Arts Businesses
  • 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Performance/Theater Groups
  • 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. – General Open Community

Wednesday, April 13

  • noon – 1 p.m. – Educational Partners
  • 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Senior Community
  • 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Special Needs Community
  • 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. – City Leadership (City Council, Recreation Commission)
